Pi'erre Bourne's Rap Career is Ruined

pierrecareerlol.png

Intro:
Jordan Jenkins aka Pi'erre Bourne is a producer/rapper from New York. Pi'erre blew up off of his unique melodic beats with Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, Young Nudy and more. Pi'erre's rap career started in 2010 but his sound evolved to what it is today when he released The Life of Pi'erre in 2016. He dropped TLOP 2 and 3 the same year experimenting more with his sound until he released The Life of Pi'erre 4 on streaming services in 2019 3 years later. A year later Pi'erre drops The Life of Pi'erre 4 Deluxe and fans were satisfied. This is Pi'erre in his prime and when his rap career started taking off. Although his music quality throughout the years would get worse.

The Life of Pi'erre 5:
He would tease the original TLOP 5 track list on twitter in 2020. This track list would have features from Drake and A$AP Rocky. He would later change the list removing features, samples and half of the songs were cut for other songs disappointing fans. Multiple songs mixing were changed and many features Pi'erre said would be on the album were cut. pierre.jpgdrake.jpg
These are just a few examples on how a well known artist holds themselves back.

Good Movie, Yo!88, Space Age Pimpin (Mid Era):
TM88 would drop a collab mixtape with Pi'erre 7 months later titled Yo!88. This mixtape was mid and extremely forgettable. 6 Months later he releases Space Age Pimpin with Juicy J. All you need to know is that you do not want to ever listen to this shit. I think Juicy J's old-head energy rubbed off on Pi'erre on this project. Definitely his worst work to date all songs being a 0/10. 8 Months later Pi'erre releases album "Good Movie," removing every sample and changing songs. All 23 songs originally had a sample and were removed. Compared to previous projects, this album would flop and fans would have mixed reactions.

Present Day (Grails):
Fans would complain, bully, and harass Pi'erre until he would drop a grail tape. 7 Months later, he would release a tape for "fans" named Grails. This would include some of his most wanted snippets loved by fans. The only reason this tape would surface is because leakers hacked into Pi'erre's iCloud forcing him to drop his biggest snippet of all time Instagram Hoes. Pi'erre would get annoyed at fans asking for the song and would constantly troll fans. Originally Jordan lied to his fans saying the file was lost until he went live on IG on 4/20/22 previewing the song laughing at fans saying it's not dropping. IG Hoes would release as a single a month before the tape would drop. Grails contains 8 songs, 2/8 dropping as singles and 3 songs leaking months before. Fans waited years, only getting 5 new songs on the tape just for every song to be re-recorded and mixed differently. The mixing was dogshit compared to the snippets and his past projects. You would think a producer would get better over time but only in Jordan's case, his music progressively get's worse.

Closing Thoughts:
Pi'erre is one of the most creative producers in the rap scene but when it comes to his own music he fucks himself over constantly. Removing huge features, samples and actual songs fans want. Drunk N Nasty has over 100 million plays on Spotify and if Pi'erre put Drake on the song, it would've been ground breaking for his rap career. Jordan definitely still has a future in producing but if he keeps dropping ass then it's not looking good for his rap career.

Since antonio deleted his comment I’ll just reply here

it’s crazy that he said that because I’ve put next to no effort in anything I’ve done. The big steppers one I just had a friend quickly put a not good png over the album cover, the eyes interview was just a funny image that was on topic, and the Nubcek one I just took a random piece of art he did. Idk what he’s on about with me and putting effort in

The saddest and craziest part is that carti's never-ending stream of leaks indirectly stunted pi'erres growth as an artist/household name

Ofc he's already well-known, but even just going off the top of my head, if songs like molly, cancun, cake, money and drugs, hellcat, srt, break the bank, a lot on my mind ever saw official releases who knows where pi'erre would be. it'd prob change the entire trajectory of his career, hell pissy pamper literally went #1 on spotify lol

I know pi'erre won't do this because he wants to be seen as a solo artist, but he should totally just do a collab tape like metro does and get a bunch of people on his beats

MIP is deadass his last chance, and with the poor delivery he gave for GRAILS there’s going to be a project that fixes up the major issues of GRAILS coming real soon. As a big fan of Pierre, I have to admit he is the king of fumbling. If MIP fails to deliver, his only chance is to do a metro boomin style album with everyone he has worked with.

Another thing I want to note is the sample clearances issues he has always had since 4, bro really vaulted the best version of 5 away. 5 is still a good album for what it is but could have been a masterpiece if he had just waited for the clearances.
